Earth Science with Lab opening in Fall at Lesley University

Lesley University is looking for a qualified instructor to teach one section of PHYS 1104 Earth Science with Lab. Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00-6:30 PM. First class is Friday after Labor Day (9/6).

This is a survey course in earth science, encompassing the disciplines of geology, oceanography, meteorology, and astronomy. The main unifying theme throughout the course is: The Earth as a System with numerous interacting components. Approximately one half of our class meetings will be devoted to geology: the study of the solid earth, its constituents, and the many processes that have contributed to its change over the past 4.6 billion years. Additional topics include: elements of weather, chemical and physical characteristics of the oceans, and the Universe of which we are a part.

Requirements:

Masters level or higher in Earth Science or a closely related discipline, with college teaching experience required.

Must be authorized to work in the United States; if you hold a visa, your visa status must allow you to work at Lesley University.
