Event details
The new science standards have initiated a shift in expectations for learning away from what students know about science topics and toward how students are able to use knowledge and practices of science to make sense of the world around them. This shift has created an exciting opportunity to re-frame how we assess students, and in turn, how information from assessments is used to support teaching and learning. In this session we will discuss some of the features of high-quality science assessments designed to meet multidimensional science standards, free resources to support their development and/or use, and some ways this work is being adapted for virtual learning.
